Great post. Sounds like some of my college experiences. Including, having a double tandem gravel hauler chasing me all over the dirt roads of what used to be rural Northern Macomb County. Looking in my mirror I saw nothimg but his grill!!! Keep them coming.!!!MW
I'm having a dumb day, and will need to return to the scene of the crime to get it all straight--- hope I don't get caught, you know how criminals always return to the scene of the crime----
Thanks for the responses everyone. Now I'm thinking I should've titled this post "A Creative Nonfiction Flash". The events are true, and it reads like Flash fiction. More comments about the title are welcome.
No, Robin. I think the suggestion isn't profound enough. How about "A Creative Nonfiction Flashback?" Kind of like mixing genres. Let the reader decide what is true or not.
"A Creative Nonfiction Flashback" seems too much to the point to me. Maybe just "Creative Nonfiction", but as a reader, that title doesn't grab me, make we want to read further. How about "Truth or Dare" Or "In A Flash" Or "As Far As I’m Concerned" Or "Like Most Criminal Minds" Love the story, and the wondering what's real or not... Cheers, R

And that's the truth, sir, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God! Great post, Jim!
That's my story & I'm stickin' to it!
Never get out of the car. You could've easily splattered them both. What's a little roadkill? Remember, you're of Grizzly, like me.
Good story, Jim. Love the way you play with the ending. Very smart flash fiction!
That... that is a really interesting post. I love it! I read the first sentence and couldn't stop reading

Hey Jim and all,
A good rollback, indeed.

How about, "Just To Be Safe" ?
