I didn't take it as "making light" at all, and in fact... in a "blogging" sense, you've borne out the term perfectly in that all of your readers recognized your illustrations of "darkness" and one even emplored you not to dwell there based on her experience. We catch (and eat) catfish here, from the Murray River, Vic Australia, they haven't been so high in numbers last decade, dunno if they are the same sort of fish, -got whiskers :)
